Hello. My name is Caitlin. And because I’m finally launching my long-awaited blog (well at the very least, I was excited for it), I’m going to tell you a little about myself.
I am a 21 year old college student, currently studying business in the University of the Philippines Diliman. I’m an old-schooled, young hearted, tiny girl, who continues to dream big things.

The three things I love in life are art, music, and writing. I have been more-than-dabbling in those things ever since I can remember, and they are the things I turn to, when I need to relax or just escape from reality. I write, because I think I can, I doodle, I make cards–I want to have a card company like Hallmark when I grow up.
I like a lot of things. I collect socks, white things, and comic books. I love old movies and theatre. I like to randomly burst into song even if I don’t have a great voice. I love musicals and I constantly wish that life were a musical. I like reading. I like reading stories about superheroes. I like watching Youtube on my spare time. I like warm days, and I like cold days even more. I like telephone chats even if they’re old-fashioned. I like quoting lines from books and movies, and I usually pretend my life is one big soap opera/sitcom.

I don’t easily fall in love with anything. But I like a lot of things and I have a lot of principles and beliefs that I’ve learned from the people around me. I am continuously learning still. I really like the idea of love and fate and destiny, and my motto in life is “almost everything happens for a reason”. I like to talk about deep things because it makes life a little bit more worth living. When I was 8 years old, I always wanted to grow up quickly and now that I am grown up, I wish I could travel back in time and just have fun again. I am ready to experience new things and I am ready to change. I am an aspiring blogger, writer, photographer, and entrepreneur.
ABOUT THIS BLOG
I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember. It started with poems, short stories, comicstrips, greeting cards and travel diaries. I started blogging, because of my cousin who introduced livejournal and multiply to me. Back then, I didn’t even know what tagging meant, I just used it for like side comments and stuff. And I continued writing, because of my best friend whom I believe is the best writer I know. So yes, actually 2017 is my 10th year as a life-blogger. It’s just that, when no one was there and whenever I was all alone during the darkest of times, writing was definitely the thing that saved me. And when something great happened, or I’d discover something new, I would write. I would tell my friends that writing is so important. Not only does it hold memories, it holds your most important feelings from before. Sadness, happiness, all those things that make us human.
I’ve been following a few bloggers for years now, like Kimi%20Juan,%20Camie Juan and Sheena Gonzales even since they were in their starting years. Right now, the person I really look up to is Jenn Im who is a fashionista Youtuber. To be honest, I never dreamed of being a real blogger. I always thought of blogging as something I’d keep to myself forever. But, so many people helped me dream bigger the past year, which lead to this decision to make a serious blog, because it’s part of my little dream to share everything I know, to as much people as possible. And my true friends have been really supportive, telling me that I can really do it. Well, I am ready to share my thoughts with the world.

CAITDEGREAT is a personal travel blog, with hobby stuff (for art, music, and writing related stuff), and beauty/fashion as well. So you can expect to read about my life sometimes, or cool products that I recommend for you to use, restaurants I think are nice, places in and out of the Philippines I have been to and feel like you should go to as well, and all those things.
I already have a lot planned for my blog, so I’m really excited to start this new journey. As I said I’m still learning, and I can’t wait until I can finally call myself a professional blogger. Until then, I’d love you to join me in this whole new chapter. It’s gonna be great..
